With a background in Philosophy and Film, Lauren finds food as a her driving vehicle for community empowerment and progress. A Philly-native, Lauren chose to serve near home in New Jersey for her first year with FoodCorps. As a young national nonprofit, FoodCorps places motivated leaders in limited-resource areas to foster meaningful relationships with food among the community’s youth. Lauren will be facilitating gardening and nutrition programming at CFET and partner organizations.
