The smallest change
2013 was a fantastic year for growth at CFET! Take a moment and consider helping us prepare for the year to come with a donation, be it $25 for a new shovel handle or $660 for a sponsorship to employ a Camden teen.

Monthly Workdays Canceled...
Monthly Workdays are canceled for December and January. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered this growing season! The gardens are officially in their winter sleep. We are hosting a day of service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 20th) and it is open to anyone interested. We’ll be cleaning out and reorganizing the greenhouse in preparation for our spring plantings. Please join us from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm. We’ll provide some snacks and warm beverages.
CFET manages about one acre of growing space at four locations in Waterfront South. Growing over 2,000 pounds of fresh chemical-free fruits and vegetables, thousands of seedlings, and hundreds of native plants these gardens serve as community gathering spaces, outdoor classrooms, and an urban connection to the natural world.
Springing from a unique combination of service, education, reflection, and relationship building, our environmental retreats are the perfect opportunity for groups to participate in the daily work and life of CFET. Come work, learn, and stay at our Center for a chance to experience the progressive, environmental change occurring daily in our neighborhood.
Junior Farmers is an intensive job-training program for youth ages 14-18, which uses urban gardening, cooking, and entrepreneurship as a vehicle to develop leadership capabilities among youth. If you're a young person looking for employment in Camden please read more and contact us with any questions!
Ways to help
Our community efforts are supported by a strong base of volunteers, serving across a wide spectrum: no matter what you love to do, be it videography, cooking, engineering, story-telling, gardening, teaching, or anything else under the sun, let us know and we’ll try to get you connected.
The best advocates are those who speak with passion, those who use their own voice and pen to create a better world. Join us and lend your voice to a few of the causes we're currently focusing on.
Whether you're looking for a few extra seedlings to round out your personal garden or are simply in need of presents for the holidays, our environmentally responsible products are a great purchase. Best of all, every dollar spent in our store directly supports our programs in Camden!
